Having owned 3 Salons, employing seniors and apprentices, education was always a high focus encouraging and supporting her staff to meet and exceed high standards of customer care, quality service and genuine advice, leading her team to win both State and the National award for Best of the Best Kerastase salon from 130 salons Australia wide. A proud achievement, which encouraged Tanya to pursue her passion in a career of Education over a decade ago. Working in both Private and Public education as an Educator, encompassing wonderful relationships with Employers and Apprentices enabled Tanya to fulfill her role of Managing a well know Private RTO in Brisbane . After a very fulfilling and rewarding apprenticeship, Beth worked alongside some of Australia’s finest Hairdressers working as an advanced colourist incorporating her skills to assist in cutting edge work for Intercoiffure and IHS competitions. Employed by High end concept salons, Beth exhibited her skills and expertise to work alongside Industries finest stylists in local Fashion parades, Mercedes Benz Fashions, Melbourne’s Fashion week experiencing close interactions with International Models and assisting Avante Guard Hairdresser of the Year. Driven by enthusiasm & passion Beth worked at several product launches and was a guest artist session stylist for American Crew and boasts being the stylist of Channel Nine readers. Beth extended her passion of Hairdressing to work for Steiner on an exclusive Yacht with only 300 guests experiencing close interactions with Famous International people before leading Beth onto her greatest passion… Education for Next Generation Apprentice Hairdressers. With solid all round skills, Beth supports the development of students through developing students strengths and mentoring learners to achieve quality outcomes so that learners can produce effective commercial salon results. Her approach to teaching is structured yet supportive to ensure finest Education. Beth’s career has allowed her to work with a diverse range of students and further develop their skills as hairdressers & barbers. Shelley brings 30 + years’ experience in the hairdressing Industry to Creative Edge Training Students, firstly as a highly qualified stylist working both in Australia and London. Following her passion for training she has worked within salons and with their apprentices for over 18 years. Understanding that high skills and high productivity is essential in today’s salons, she works closely with salon owners to achieve this goal for their apprentices. Shelley looks after our South East QLD and beautiful Sunshine coast regions. Creative Edge Training offer both flexible delivery in salon education and / or come to our Academy
Tanya joins us with 28 years hairdressing experience coupled with 18 years in hairdressing education. At 15 years old, Tanya knew she wanted the best of the best training for her career. She won a Scholarship to a premiere Hairdressing academy and moved to Brisbane in 1996 to pursue her career. After completing her apprenticeship in 2000, Tanya managed several successful high end concept salons and dedicated herself to train her apprentices to the highest standard. Tanya enjoys all aspects of hairdressing and specialises in colour correction and blondes. Tanya thrives off challenge. After seeing there was a large gap in formal hairdressing education, Tanya began her journey in formal education and was able to fulfill her passion for delivering superior training and knowledge to the future stylists of our industry. The keys to Tanya's success is her continued active involvement in industry, dedication to continuous professional development and staying current in all areas of the trade. Tanya takes great pride in helping people develop their skills and uses a proactive, creative and fun approach to inspire and motivate her students."
Allanah Nippard-Hughes has dedicated her career to elevating salon hair colouring to an art form. As an acclaimed colourist, educator, and product consultant, Allanah is well recognised within the hair industry. Allanah believes continual learning is the key to a rewarding and progressive career. She began her career as young passionate and excited apprentice, believing that hairdressing was not just a job, but a skill she could grow and develop to great heights. Allanah was awarded a placing in the IHS precision cutting and creative colour category and attended countless education and industry classes. Allanah began her role as an Educator for Tafe Qld and was instrumental in the development of emerging hairdressing artists, taking a group of fresh and passionate stylists and finishing apprentices on a new and exciting journey. From here, Allanah has continued to inspire others working as a technical educator for Icolor/Senscience. Allanah quickly gained a reputation for excellence in both hair colour and hair design. Allanah is a positive believer that the more effort you put in now, leads to a golden road in the future A welcomed and dedicated individual, who accomplishes challenges and goals to inspire our industry.
Carly began her hairdressing career in 2001 while she was still in year 11 as a school based Apprentice, going on the qualify and continue to work in an Industry she loves. Carly loves the creative side of colouring, especially blondes, as this is where she demonstrates her strengths. An Education career was in sight early as a stylist as she always enjoyed working and training apprentices in the salon as a senior stylist and Manager. Carly's skills and patience as an Educator is key to ensure she can share her knowledge to support upcoming Apprentices.
After completing an apprenticeship in 2004, Alicia continued to complete a myriad of Colour courses, cutting courses and whatever else she could sink her teeth into including a Masters in Colour. Passionate about her career Alicia has also participated in Artistic teams on photo shoots and product launches and was fortunate enough to find success in competition work. Alicia has managed salon teams for Brisbane’s more affluent Hair salons and Barber shops and trained many apprentices over the past 16 + years as a Senior Stylist. Alicia has qualifications in both Hairdressing and Barbering and is a self-confessed Hair Nerd loving the Industry that has given us all so much!
Jacinta brings over 13 years of experience in the hairdressing industry. After completing her Apprenticeship, Jacinata worked as a stylist and continued her training to become as a Master Colourist, Salon Manager, and Educator in luxury Salons. Jacinta brings Experience as an award winning stylist, including being a semi-finalist in L’Oreal Colour Trophy and winning "Extensionist of the Year for Australia and New Zealand".Jacinta’s expertise includes advanced colour techniques, extensions, and salon operations, where she has led and mentored teams to achieve exceptional results. Jacinta is passionate about sharing her industry knowledge and is excited to contribute to the next generation of hairdressers as a Trainer and Assessor, providing hands-on, practical learning and inspiring future stylists to excel in their careers.
Julie’s career commenced over 30yrs ago, owning and operating 6 salons both in Canberra and on the Gold Coast. A major achievement – Julie’s salon won Retailer of the Year in a major shopping center, where the main criteria for winning this award were in the growth and sales of the salon. This was accomplished through educating the Salon staff and instruction on the importance of customer service. Julie’s high level of commitment and passion was passed on to her staff, always focusing on a high level of service and training. Julie has also worked with a number of major companies participating and running hairdressing shows, seminars and photographic work. Julie’s love for creating the finest in Hairdressing & barbering techniques has led her to Training and Assessing students in the hairdressing & barber profession. As a supportive educator Julie loves sharing her knowledge and passion for hairdressing to ensure students excel in learning new skills.
